Oh, friends! Do I have a treat for you! A textured bouquet, pretty invitation suite, and bridal details, OH MY! This was my first time second shooting a wedding in Hermosillo where I had some focused time to dedicate to style and shoot all of the lovely bridal details and I just LOVED every second!
Last Friday, I had the pleasure of joining David Hinojos again for another wedding in Hermosillo. I was once again a guest at this wedding so my I was really only present during the detail styling and some brief portrait time.
Can I just say though how much I LOVE styling details?! I mean, besides it being one of the aspects that makes my job super fun, (because who wouldn’t like to play, style and shoot such beautiful bridal details, amirite?) it gives the bride a collection of beautiful memories from her wedding day that can be easily overlooked and forgotten. The day goes by so fast. Sometimes it even seems like a blur. And having these bridal detail images to look back on and remember how stunning everything looked on their day is priceless! And as one of my favorite wedding photographers, Amy Demos put it, it’s a way for us as photographers to “really serve our brides and honor the vision she had for her wedding day.” That’s why it is SO important for brides to collect their bridal details and make sure they get photographed! So get out that full perfume bottle, earrings, invitations, rings, and any other unique thing that you want to remember from your wedding day! You don’t want to miss a thing!
Also, I just want to comment on how lovely the heirloom velvet Mrs. Boxes are… they make every single ring just stand out!
Another thing that I absolutely LOVE is when brides opt for textured bouquets! They are just incredibly stunning and give SUCH a beautiful contrast to any bridal look. The bridal bouquet that Ana Karen designed with Floreria Janaya was just beyond gorgeous and when I first saw it, my jaw literally dropped.
hahaha Literally, I immediately took to instagram stories to squeal in excitement because I was such a dreamy bouquet.
I had so much fun getting behind the lens for another wedding and can’t thank David enough for the opportunity. He directed and lead the entire day with such confidence and composure. I’m also thankful that amidst the fast paced timeline, he allowed me to organize the details in accordance to my shooting style and also direct the bride in a few shots with her and the bouquet (all shown below).

With the both the past wedding and this one, I was able to get a really good glimpse into the dynamics of weddings here in Mexico behind the scenes. I look forward to any other opportunities that present themselves here with David as lead and can’t wait to continue to grow and learn.
In the meantime, I leave you with a small selection of images from Ana Karen and German’s Villa de Seris Wedding in Hermosillo!
Isn’t that bouquet just the most stunning textured arrangement of florals ever!? haha Love it!
Until next week, friends!
