When I first heard their love story, I was practically in tears because of how cute it was. I could feel how excited Ana Lucia was sharing a bit of their story. It was as if it were straight out of a romance novel or one of those old Golden Era black and white films about love. Which for me, made my heart flutter seeing as how I’m a total sappy romantic haha. Their sweet smiles, dreamy stares, and cute giggles never stopped the entire time. And I couldn’t help but notice the way he held her hand and the way she rested her head on his shoulder… it was as if they fit perfectly together.
Before they met, Ana wasn’t interested in meeting anyone new seeing as how a previous relationship she had been in had just ended. But the night she met him, through some mutual friends, she felt something she hadn’t for a while. A spark was lit. And her heart strings began to play a beautiful tune… one only he could hear.
“You don’t love someone for their looks, or their clothes or for their fancy car, but because they sing a song only you can hear.” ~ Oscar Wilde
Sebastian frequently asked to spend time with Ana after that night out with friends. They would spend hours just talking about music and bands they love. And after some time getting to really know each other and taking it slow to see what would come of all of this, they went to Kino Beach one afternoon to hang out and relax. Sebastian, who brought his guitar, serenaded her during sunset for the first time and asked her out officially to be his girlfriend. With that kind of wooing, I think it’s clear that she agreed to go out with him in a heartbeat haha
Music has played an important role in their relationship as something they have really bonded over. In fact, she plays the piano and some of the most memorable moments with him have been spent playing their instruments together and singing. Are you serious!? I can’t… it’s just too cute. When I heard this, I was reminded of an Oscar Wilde quote, “You don’t love someone for their looks, or their clothes or for their fancy car, but because they sing a song only you can hear.” I feel like these two are the perfect combination to represent this because they definitely sing songs only the other can hear (quite literally as you can see).
What I loved hearing about them the most though was how much they love doing life together and experiencing new things. Sure, in a new relationship, there are bound to be many “firsts”… going to a festival together for the first time, a first date, a first kiss… but the way they have such a willingness to adventure through it together, is what amazes me most. They support each other and walk through their fears hand in hand. They even have a little souvenir of a time when they faced a mutual fear together which serves as a reminder that together, they can face it all 🙂
They have such a playful disposition and apart from music, love anything to do with space and science. She loves his transparency and love of life. He makes her laugh, challenges her, and appreciates the little things in life.
I had the pleasure of working with Ana Lucia in my previous job as a clinical supervisor (if you’re not caught up, click here to read more about my background). She is an amazing, intelligent, hard-working and stunningly beautiful human with a heart of gold, and although she considers herself fortunate to have met Sebastian, I’d say that he’s hit the jack pot too. Cheers for love, that’s exciting, new and rooted in substance and authenticity!! I leave you all with a *few* highlights from our session together… I use the term few quite liberally as I had waaaay to many favorites to choose from haha
ok, I’m going to go read all of my favorite romantic novels now… Pride and Prejudice, I’m coming for you first. ♡♡♡
