Oh man! I couldn’t be more excited to share a bigger peek into Laura and Fabian’s desert family session. They were sooooo much fun and incredibly adorable and sweet! This session actually happened in the state of Sonora in Mexico, but the shoot reminded me of a Catalina State Park Session! The whether was warm, the sun glowy, and all the surrounding nature was pretty much the same.
As many of you may have seem from my Instagram, I’ve been transitioning from being a light and airy photographer to a style that has more moody tones while still maintaining a bright feel. It’s something that I felt was a good blend of two styles that I love and ultimately, is a better representation of who I am as an artist and creative.
It has been something that I have been thinking about for a long time now, but never had the courage to officially do until now. I’ll share more about that journey in upcoming blog posts, but this was a change that, while scary, was definitely worth it.
And I couldn’t think of a better family to help me kick off this new style with!
I’ve known Fabián for a few years now and has become one of my dearest friends. We are part of the same #movementculture Tribe and have encouraged each other in our personal journey’s within that. So it was an ABSOLUTE pleasure for me to spend some time with his family, exploring and playing and capturing such fun and beautiful memories.
Laura is an increeedible cook and makes THE BEST organic tortillas!! She’s also a super talented creative and clearly, an amazing mama to two curious, intelligent, handsome little chaps!! Both her and Fabián are the greatest parents and I’m so happy that they trusted me enough to play and experiment with my new style.
They followed me into the desert and created absolute magic!
So without further ado, here are some more images from their sweet desert family session!
And if anyone is down for a Catalina State Park Session, I wouldn’t be mad about it!!! 😉
