Two families once separated, now coming together. That’s what happens when you get married. And this wedding was no exception. Though there are 10,943 km between England and the Philippines, there was no amount of distance that could keep the amount of love and support that was shown on this day at bay.
One of the things I loved most about this wedding was seeing both sides welcome each other so genuinely. Rory’s family is from England. Kristina’s family is American/Filipino. And this was the first time they were going to be meeting each other. There were generations of love and marriage supporting the Bride and Groom as they begin their new life together, all gathered in one place.
At the reception, one of the first things I noticed was Rory’s mom, Mandy, going to greet members of Kristina’s extended family. It was so warm. So genuine. It looked as if they had already met and were just catching up. They laughed, hugged, smiled. It was quite touching to watch and brought such a smile to my face.
John, Kristina’s dad, made a beautiful toast talking about how honored he was to have such a great son-in-law and how touching it was that his family came all the way from England.
And let’s not forget the moment that Rory shed a tear as he said some beautiful words, addressing his new extended family. That’s right Rory! As much as you tried to cough it out, we all know you got teary eyed! hahah

Heck, Kristina and Rory’s family even treated ME like family! I was there to document their beautiful day, and they all kept insisting that I take a break and eat! Kristina’s mom wanted to make sure I was fed. They all smiled at me as if I were a long time friend. If I, a stranger, was treated this way, Rory… you’ve got a huge clan extending their love and support to you now. And Kristina, from the looks of it, you’ve got such a warm hearted, fun loving family to lean on in times when you need it as well.
Family. The most important thing. The element that made this day so special. So unique. and so beautiful. Congratulations to the lot of ya! These memories will be passed down to future generations to come, and I was so honored to be a part of it. Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day! Hope you enjoy a few of my favorite images from the wedding!
Congratulations to the newlyweds! Big shout out to my lovely assistant, Zafiro, who helped me this day! And big shout out to all the vendors who got together to make the wedding beautiful and special for Kristina and Rory!
