Happy Holidays!! I hope everyone had a nice little break surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones! I’m still full from all the food I’ve eaten and all the Pfeffernusse I’ve baked. So.much.Pfeffernusseeeeee. I can’t believe the New Year is approaching… WHAT!? How did 2018 go by SO flippin fast!? So many changes have happened in the last few months and I’m so excited to share more! But FIRST…. Kristina and Rory’s Mount Lemmon Session!!
Oh my heart! Kristina and Rory were MY FIRST REAL CLIENTS EVER! When I first began my journey into photography, Kristina and Rory trusted me enough to book their engagement and wedding. This session meant so much to me because they were the ones who allowed me to pursue my dreams. Without them, I wouldn’t have had the portfolio images I needed to book my next wedding. I will always be thankful to them and being able to photograph them years later after seeing them grow into their marriage, experience ups and downs, listen to them express authenticity in their struggles and celebrate the sweet victories too was my absolute pleasure.
I feel I have grown SO, so much since those beginning days in every aspect. My style has been the main manifestation of those changes and has evolved into something much more reflective of who I am as a person and artist. And while growth and change are scary, it’s so important to always listen to your intuition and to trust yourself. I love being able to play and experiment with different light, capture deeper and more authentic emotions and really be able to tap into the beautiful complex intricacies of a relationship that you just can’t get with a style that is all about being perfect.
I still have sooo much to learn and I’m always seeking growth as an artist and person. But I finally feel much more like myself and I’m excited to continue to explore the depths of relationships through my camera and be able to give my clients images that truly resonate with them and make them feel something deeper and more real and raw.
Kristina and Rory were the perfect people to be able to end the year with. I’m so happy when people recognize the value in having anniversary sessions done. It’s such a beautiful opportunity to check in with each other to see where they’re at and evaluate and communicate their priorities and needs and also celebrate all of the sweet moments they lived that year. So, cheers to continued growth and authenticity in your marriage! Love you guys! Thanks for having me along on during this Mount Lemmon Session AND THANK YOU FOR THE DELICIOUS TEA YOU BROUGHT ME ALL THE WAY FROM ENGLAAAAAAAAAND!!!
Thanks again to all of the people who helped Kristina feel like a QUEEN! She looked absolutely AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL.
