Being a Tucson native, people often ask me interesting places to go explore and see when they are visiting from another state or country. And I always tell them that a trip to Tucson without seeing San Xavier Mission is no trip at all. So when Kateri suggested a San Xavier Engagement, I was pretty ecstatic to say the least!

A National Historic Landmark, San Xavier Mission was founded as a Catholic mission by Father Eusebio Kino in 1692. It is the oldest intact European structure in Arizona and it’s a place where visitors can truly step back in time and enter an authentic 18th Century space. It’s located on the Tohono O’odham Nation San Xavier Indian Reservation and is such a beautiful example of Tucson’s rich history.

When Kateri and I met, she told me about her personal ties to the San Xavier Mission and I knew right then that we couldn’t do the engagement anywhere else but there. And when the day came, it couldn’t have been more perfect!

Cloudy skies, light breeze, beautiful weather… it was a dream. But the dynamic that Kateri and Marco had throughout the entire session was what made our time together

so

much

FUN!!

Kateri’s bright, joyful, and contagious energy was overwhelmingly beautiful and Marco’s fun wit and banter kept things light and entertaining. There was absolutely no shortage of genuine smiles and belly aching laughter.

It was such a pleasure to be able to document such a sweet time in each others journey to marriage. I just can’t believe how LUCKY I am to work with such genuinely beautiful, sweet, authentic and funny souls! AHH! I know I say that in literally every blog and instagram post I have, but it’s so true and I’ll never stop being incredibly thankful for people like them.

It’s a true privilege to be able to give you images that you’ll later pass on and show your kids when they’re older and your future grandchildren as well. It’s a wonderful legacy to be able to share your beautiful love with generations to come. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for giving me the honor. This San Xavier Engagement is definitely one of my favorites!
